All of the songs on 'A Rare Find' were written over the course of a year of massive change for me (Iain). With the loss of my brother and my father, within just a couple of months, I was thrust into a period of monumental grief. So, all of these songs are touched by that in some way, whether they are directly about life or death, or simply a memorable scene in a favourite movie. They represent my state of mind as I stood listless and hesitating at a threshold between past and future lives. A place I expect we've all been at one time or another.
